If you love burgers, you certainly know about Burger Parlor. Since their 2011 pop-up effort, they have been named one of “Orange County’s 11 Best Burgers” by Thrillist.com. They have also been named “Best Burger at the 2016 Golden Foodie Awards” and listed as one of Orange Coast Magazine’s “Top 25 Things to Eat in OC.”
Dexter Holland from the punk rock band, The Offspring and founder of the popular hot sauce, Gringo Bandito, happened to be in attendance when Burger Parlor received their Golden Foodie award. Burger Parlor owner and award recipient, Joseph Mahon, reached out to Holland and suggested they collaborate on an offering to honor their mutual Orange County roots. Together the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger was born.
Crafted with 100% hormone free beef, the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger features a crisp tostada chip, fried egg, Gringo Bandito crema, crushed avocado, roasted Anaheim chile and Gringo Bandito Aioli. While I haven’t tasted the burger, it looks like an amazing blend of two OC favorites.
Today, March 24, the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger goes live at Burger Parlor’s Fullerton and Orange locations. This burger appears to be an amazing combination of taste and texture sensations. Given the popularity of both companies, the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger should be a huge hit!
