This Saturday, Nov. 16, Mari at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills is featuring a unique Filipino-inspired Thanksgiving meal. Chef Brian Bellicourt of Mari Los Angeles is teaming up with Chefs Ray Yaptinchay and Jay Tugas of Spoon & Pork for a one-night-only exclusive, Filipino-inspired feast.
Thanksgiving is usually all about the turkey, but if you want to try something different, it’s time to think about a protein with more flavor, like pork. Filipino cuisine is largely based around pork and they have delicious ways to prepare it. Filipino food combines Eastern and Western ideas and is strongly influenced by Chinese, Spanish and American traditions.
Chefs Brian, Jay, and Ray will be serving up an incredible spread of their favorite pork-inspired Thanksgiving Filipino dishes – all served in a shared format. Dessert is not an afterthought as Mari Pastry Chef Gail Romulo will create some Filipino sweets including Warm Buko Tart and Pumpkin Leche Flan.
