Hanukkah is the eight-day Jewish festival also known as the “Festival of Lights”. This year Hanukkah begins on Sunday evening Dec. 22 and runs through Monday evening, Dec 30. To celebrate, some LA area restaurants will offer limited-time specials. Following is a round-up of Hanukkah food across LA.

From Sunday, Dec. 22 – Sunday, Dec. 29, The Milky Way will feature a Latke and Salmon special entrée. The entrée comes with three crispy potato latkes and smoked salmon served with house-made apple compote and sour cream ($20).
Customers ordering takeout can take home a platter filled with a dozen delicious latkes. The platter comes with apple compote and sour cream and is only available for takeout. 24 hours notice is required. Kids will love the free Hanukkah gelt (chocolate coins)!

Eight Crazy Nights of Cocktails
From Dec 22 through Dec 30, the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City will feature Eight Crazy Nights of Cocktails. The menu includes Jewish twists on some of beverage manager Silvia Rho’s favorite festive libations, which change each day and are only available on the night noted.
The specialty cocktails will be served in both Mari Los Angeles and Copper Lounge from Dec. 22 through Dec 30. Each cocktail is $12.

Hanukkah Dinner at Mari Los Angeles
From Dec. 22-30, Mari Los Angeles is celebrating the festival of lights with a special three-course prix-fixe menu prepared by Chef Brian Bellicourt in the Hanukkah tradition. The menu lineup includes classics such as Chicken Liver Toast and also offers guests robust entree options such as Slow Roasted Brisket or Potato Crusted Salmon. Dessert will include Pastry Chef Gail’s signature, Sufganyot. The prix-fixe menu is $48per person. Children’s menu available upon request. Available 5:30pm – 9pm.
