The Long Beach Black Restaurant Week is an eight-day event taking place from Jan 22 thru Jan 29. The event celebrates African, African American, and Caribbean fare in and around Long Beach. Also highlighted are Black-owned food businesses, Black chefs, and bartenders. Long Beach Food & Beverage sponsors the event.
Long Beach Food & Beverage is a non-profit organization registered in California. Its mission is to celebrate and empower the Long Beach restaurant community through zero-cost consultation, marketing, public relations, and fundraisers. Its current event is the Long Beach Black Restaurant Week.
The week-long affair will highlight black-owned restaurants, food trucks, caterers, bakeries, pop-ups, and retail food businesses. Some companies participating include Georgia’s Restaurant, Sal’s Gumbo Shack, Twins Smokehouse BBQ, Axiom Kitchen BBQ, Caketails Bakery, and many more!
In addition to the many brick-and-mortar specials, two chef pop-ups will take place.
