Everyone loves a good cookie. In fact, before the pandemic hit, I purchased a box of fresh baked cookies for the office. I was amazed at how much everyone appreciated the gesture. Since I haven’t had a good cookie since that time, I was ecstatic to learn that South Baked will do a pop-up this Friday, Nov 13, in Redondo Beach’s Riviera Village.
South Baked is a team of passionate bakers that teamed together shortly after the pandemic hit. After years of working alongside LA’s top restaurants, chefs, wineries and breweries, they decided to spread their wings and create their own kitchen. During the pandemic, they plan on crafting some of our favorites and sharing it with you now and for years to come.
Their pop-up will be situated in the Aloha Bungalow on Catalina Ave in Riviera Village. You’re probably wondering “Aloha Bungalow”, huh? It is the tiki hut that you drive by on Catalina Ave and Vista Del Mar. If you’ve been to the Aloha Bungalow, it is a gift shop with a mission to fulfill your Bohemian needs.
From 3 – 6 pm, South Baked will sell their signature Stay Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies, Girls Just Wanna Have FUN-fetti Cookies, Synonym Toast Crunch Cookies and their newly released Spiced Cookie Butter Cookies. Cakes, brownies and more will be available along with pre-orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Even if you don’t live in the South Bay, this is a good opportunity to enjoy some amazing cookies and consider them as possible holiday gifts.
Date: Nov 13
Time: 3 – 6 p.m.
